5-Star Smoothie

Enrich your day with a boost of fibre by adding Metamucil to this delectable and healthful smoothie recipe.

Makes: 2 1/4 cups (560 mL)
Prep time: 1 minute (if using frozen or canned sweet potatoes)
Ready in: 3 minutes

Fibre : 12 grams

1/2 cup (125 mL) pureed sweet potato (fresh, frozen or canned)
1/4 cup (60 mL) unsweetened applesauce or finely chopped apple (unpeeled)
1 tablespoon dried pumpkin seeds
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon plus additional for garnish
1 1/4 cups (310 mL) unsweetened soy milk or skim milk
1 level teaspoon Metamucil® Orange with 75% Less Sugar or Original Smooth
Ice cubes or crushed ice

Blend sweet potatoes, applesauce, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, milk and Metamucil® with ice in blender until smooth. Garnish with additional cinnamon.
