Basic Party Mix Recipe

Ingredients
4 slices rye bread, cut into 2 1/2-centimetre (1-inch) squares
1500 mL (6 cups) corn party mix cereal
100 mL (4 cups) wheat party mix cereal
625 mL (2 1/2 cups) pretzels or pretzel pieces
500 mL (2 cups) peanuts
375 mL (1 1/2 cup) toasted almonds
250 mL (1 cup) butter, melted
30 mL (2 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
15 mL (1 tbsp) salt
7 mL (1/2 tbsp) black pepper
7 mL (1 1/2 tsp) garlic powder
2 mL (1/2 tsp) cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 160 C (325 F)
- In a roasting pan, mix the bread, cereals, pretzels and nuts together
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Coat the cereal mixture with the butter mixture, tossing with a spatula to coat
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally
- Allow to cool and serve immediately
