Tiramisu Trifle Recipe

Enjoy the flavours of tiramisu in personal, easy-to-make and easier to enjoy trifles.

Put a spin on traditional tiramisu by making individual trifles. Filled with creamy mascarpone cheese and rich coffee flavour, they’re a decadent treat that will be enjoyed by all. Make them ahead of time and serve them tonight!

Tiramisu Trifle Recipe

625 mL (2 1/2 cups) heavy whipping cream
225 grams (8 ounces) mascarpone cheese*
125 mL (1/2 cup) white sugar
24 ladyfingers
125 mL (1/2 cup) brewed French vanilla coffee
Prepared whipped cream
30 mL (2 tbsp) cocoa powder

*Tip: If you can’t find mascarpone cheese, you can substitute cream cheese.

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix 125 mL (1/2 cup) heavy whipping cream, mascarpone cheese and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy
  2. In a separate bowl, beat remaining 500 mL (2 cups) of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form
  3. Fold the whipping cream into the mascarpone mixture
  4. Break ladyfingers apart, set aside
  5. Line the bottom of trifle dishes with a layer of ladyfingers
  6. Brush ladyfingers with coffee
  7. Spoon mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers
  8. Repeat until trifle dishes are full
  9. Top with remaining mascarpone mixture and refrigerate for 3-5 hours
  10. When ready to serve, top with prepared whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder
