Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Make delicious, velvety chocolate-dipped strawberries for your special someone.

Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
Serves: 4-6
Prep time: 10 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

20 fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
1 bag (340 grams) / (12 ounces) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips 


  1. Boil water in a medium saucepan, and line a plate or tray with parchment paper
  2. Place chocolate chips in a heat-resistant glass or metal bowl and set on top of the pot of boiling water to create a double boiler. Cooking the chocolate this way helps prevent burning
  3. Stir chocolate with a metal or wooden spoon until smooth and melted. Carefully remove from heat
  4. Dip one end of each strawberry in the melted chocolate. Place on prepared tray and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt. Repeat with remaining strawberries
  5. Refrigerate until chocolate sets, then serve

Tip: Take the classic to a brand new level by using white chocolate to make football laces for your sweetie:


  1. Prepare a batch of the chocolate covered strawberries listed above
  2. While they’re cooling, temper a batch of white chocolate chips
  3. Using a toothpick dipped in the melted white chocolate, draw a line down the middle of the strawberry. Draw a few more lines going across the first line
  4. Refrigerate until the chocolate sets, then serve
