So what about a new twist on the ole peanut butter favourite? And how about a snack that’s kid-friendly and easy to whip up in a matter of minutes? Sold yet?

It gets even better. This peanut butter banana wrap brings in your go-to, protein-packed peanut butter spread to marry a fruit favourite. The peanut butter acts as the magic glue, holding the banana in place within the tortilla, so even little fingers can handle this delicious treat.

Peanut Butter Banana Roll-ups

Ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter), creamy or chunky
4, 8-inch tortillas, flour or whole wheat
4 bananas, ripe to eat

Instructions

  1. Starting in the centre of each tortilla, spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter evenly around the entire tortilla. Leave a one-inch border plain
  2. Peel the banana and place in the centre of the tortilla, on top of the peanut butter
  3. Pull one side of the tortilla over the banana, securing the peanut butter to the banana, and then roll up
  4. Cut in half to serve, or slice into smaller pieces for little ones

Ingredients
Serves: 6
2 bananas, peeled
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
Cooking spray
Honey, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 F

  2. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray




  3. Cut bananas into 1/4-inch slices
  4. Dip slices in lemon juice, and then place on prepared baking sheet

  5. Bake, turning over once, until golden brown and crispy, about 3 hours

Optional: Drizzle chips with honey once they’re out of the oven.
