With a new season comes new food, and no tasty transition is more apparent than summer to fall. While summer had us feeling experimental with the grill, fall is a return to our tried and trues. Like spiced coffee. Pumpkin pie. And did somebody mention soup?
That’s right, it’s officially soup season and to honour the occasion, we’ve curated seven of our favourite recipes – one for every day of the week. Give them a stir, and be sure to let us know your favourites in the comments!
Saturday: Hearty Pumpkin Black Bean Soup
Yes, we know. We know. We started our week on Saturday, which is a little strange, but we wanted to give you time to savour our pumpkin black bean soup in all its flavourful glory. It’s filling and vegetarian, which is a total win-win.
Sunday: French Onion Soup
Since France is known for their leisurely Sunday meals, we reserved Sunday for our French onion soup. While it might seem easier to just order it from a restaurant, with our easy step-by-step recipe you can delight in the satisfaction of making it at home.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 3 Slow Cooker Soups
The beginning of the week is all about productivity, so we figured we’d save you time with our three slow cooker soups. They’re easy, wholesome and take 20 minutes or less to prepare.
Thursday: One-pot Lentil Soup
You can also save time on weeknights by limiting the number of dishes you use and freezing leftovers for a later date. That’s what makes our wholesome lentil soup recipe so great. You can make it in just one Dutch oven or large pot and since it serves 12, you’ll likely have some left over.
Friday: Chicken Soup with Herbed Dumplings
Congratulations! You’ve made it through another week. Now you’re looking for something comforting. Familiar. And easy enough for a Friday night. Enter our chicken soup with herbed dumplings – it’s like a warm pat on the back for another week well done.
Slurp Away with Bounty Quilted Napkins
As delicious as soup is, sometimes it can be messy to eat, especially for our little ones. Fortunately, Bounty Quilted Napkins are 2X stronger when wet than the leading brand, meaning just one napkin lasts the whole meal.
