Keep your mattress fresh and clean with our 4-step guide.

You may think cleaning your mattress takes a professional, but it doesn’t! Learn to easily clean it and keep it fresh all year. Rest assured, these four easy steps will result in a clean mattress, every time.

Jar with lid
1 cup baking soda (double for larger beds — king-sized and up)
Essential oil of your choice (we recommend lavender or eucalyptus)
Fine sieve

  1. Fill your jar with 1 cup baking soda. Add 4 drops of essential oil. Cover the jar and shake well
  2. Pour the baking soda and essential oil mix into a fine sieve and sift over your mattress. Let the mix set for one hour
  3. After an hour has passed, vacuum the mixture
  4. Repeat every three months. To upkeep your freshly-scented mattress, spray with fabric refresher between cleanings

Tip: Launder your bedding frequently between mattress cleanings to help keep everything smelling and feeling fresh.

Tip: To increase its longevity, flip and rotate your mattress every 1-2 weeks when you wash your bedding.

Common Spot Cleaning Tips

Unknown Stains:
Spray with a mixture of mild dish detergent and water and let sit for five minutes. Blot with a clean rag, being sure not to rub the stain in.

Blood Stains: Mix together 2 tablespoons of salt per cup of very cold water and place in a spray bottle. Spray the stain and allow to soak for five minutes before blotting.

Urine Stains: Mix together 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide and 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a spray bottle. Spray the stain thoroughly and allow to dry overnight. Vacuum the spot the next morning.
