Meet Gillette Athlete Ambassador Andre De Grasse

Canadian sprinter Andre De Grasse is all about precision and performance. He and his mom have partnered with Gillette on the road to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Andre De Grasse is proud to be a Gillette brand ambassador and member of P&G’s “Thank You Mom” team, along with his mom Beverly De Grasse.

Competing at his first-ever IAAF World Championships in 2015, Andre De Grasse tied for the bronze medal in the 100m, making him Canada’s first world medalist in the event since 1999. Andre was also part of the 4x100m relay team that won world bronze. These wins followed his double gold performance at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, where Andre swept the 100m and 200m events.  The Rio 2016 Olympic Games will mark his first time competing at the Olympic Games.

Andre feels fortunate that his mom has always been there for him and is thankful that she will be there to give him strength as he competes in Rio. He felt Gillette was a great partner for him as the brand’s “Perfect Isn’t Pretty” campaign takes a look behind the curtain, honouring the arduous journey that all Olympians face throughout their training in the pursuit of the Olympic Games.  Whether he’s training for a major event like the Rio 2016 or tackling the day ahead, the perfect mix of precise tools is critical for success. For him, that combination of perseverance, passion and precision tool includes the new Gillette Fusion ProShield.
