Step 1: Apply a Good Foundation
Choose a light coverage formula that addresses your skin’s specific needs so you combine makeup and treatment into one application. Ensure your foundation has a built-in SPF of at least 15.

Step 2: Conceal and Reveal
Choose a concealer two shades lighter than your foundation to lighten the dark under-eye area. Place three small dots under the eye where the darkest shadows are, and gently pat into the skin using fingertips. Work some product into the inner corners of eyes, as this area tends to darken with age.

Step 3: Open Your Eyes
With age, eyelids tend to develop a pink hue. Bring your lids back to life with a light dusting of some shadow in a bone, taupe or stone colour over the whole lid. Apply a highlighting formula under the arch to give the appearance of a mini brow lift. Put on two coats of mascara to top lashes to open the eye area, and you’ll have a youthful, wide-eyed gaze.

Step 4: Warm up Your Complexion
Get a youthful rosy glow by applying blush to the apples of the cheeks. Cream formulas give the skin a dewy look, but you’ll need to touch up throughout the day. Creams are great for dry skins and are best applied using your fingertips.

Step 5: Plump and Perfect Your Pout
Unfortunately, lips thin with age. Counteract this with a formula that boosts hyaluronic acid production, instantly restoring plumpness.

I've also found that in my 40's I prefer to use an eyelash curler with my mascara for a "bigger" open eye look!
