Style and Skincare Essentials: What to Pack for a Long Weekend Away

Use this list of essentials to ensure any weekend trip is stylish and streamlined.

Deciding what to pack for a long holiday weekend can be a quite a conundrum. You don’t want to stuff your bag with non-essentials, but you also don’t want to get stuck in a last-minute run to the store for your favorite products because you were afraid of over packing. Here’s a packing list to make sure you don’t miss any style or beauty essentials.

A Light Jacket and Scarf
Planes and airports can be a little chilly, so a light jacket is essential even when you’re headed to a warm weather destination (a scarf will also come in handy). In general, packing items that you can layer is key to adjusting to any temperature.

Walking Shoes
If you plan on doing some sightseeing on your trip, be sure to pack a pair of comfortable walking shoes, like flats. Do not pack new shoes — be sure they’ve been broken in. Your feet will thank you!

Day to Night Pieces
When packing up your wardrobe, opt for pieces that can work double-duty and can more easily transition from day to night.

A Hat
A hat is also a perfect travel essential — it’s a quick and stylish addition to any outfit, plus it protects you from the elements.
